It's that time again, another exciting software update for Video Management! Since this is a required update as there have been many database changes, the next time you run Video Management you will be prompted to install this latest version.

GPS Playback

You may now activate GPS Logging for fleet vehicles and playback the vehicle's route from specified periods of time. GPS is logged on the DVR every 10 seconds and playback in a Google Maps display from Video Management. From the Tools screen, choose GPS Playback, enter a vehicle number, start date / time and end date / time, then click Map Route to see the path traveled by that vehicle. Press the play button at the bottom of the screen and watch the path the vehicle traveled on the map.

Note: If you are using a 3G connection, you can get real time GPS data. If you are using only wifi it does not provide real time GPS tracking but provides a GPS history of vehicle location and movement. This information is available after the vehicle offloads the information at shift change.

Live Screen Capture

Mostly for our 3G customers, you may now request live screen shots from DVR when the DVR is online with your system. You can save these images to your desktop too if you'd like.

Vehicle Manager

For those users who have permission to this area, you may now edit certain settings for fleet vehicles such as GPS Logging and Download Modes.

Driver Manager

For those users who have permission to this area, you will be able to view / manage driver information. If your company is setup to integrate your drivers from another source (such as CabManager), drivers are displayed in a read-only fashion.

Download Mode Control

From the Vehicle Manager you can specify vehicles to allow them to download videos over Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi / 3G

Keyboard Shortcuts

NEW Press Ctrl + F to bring up the Search Videos tab
Press Ctrl + S to save pending videos
Press Ctrl + D to delete pending videos
F5 to refresh video screens

Corrected an error that would occur when adding the Event Time column in the Pending Review Screen

Corrected a communications inconvenience that prevented the Download Server from immediately starting custom video retrieval requests once entered into Video Management for those vehicles already connected to the network.
